About Us & Our Ragdoll Cats & Kittens

"Of all God's creatures, there is only one that cannot be made slave of the leash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve the man, but it would deteriorate the cat."- Mark Twain

We are a small home Ragdoll cattery located in Northwest Idaho surrounded by beautiful lakes, rivers and trees.  Washington, Montana and Canada are only an hour or so away from our home to the west, east and north of us!  We retired up here from So. California in 2002 and have never looked back.  We custom built our dream home and spend many days enjoying the deer and occasional moose from our front porch.  Of course, Kayla "The Wonder Dog", likes to take chase on the deer just to watch them run but stays quiet as a mouse whenever a moose treads near.  Smart dog!

When he isn't working on a case for his private investigation business, you can usually find Keith fly fishing alongside his trusty companion, Kayla, on one of the numerous rivers the Northwest has to offer.  In the beginning, Kayla was afraid of the water opting to stay on the shoreline instead.  Not anymore!  Now she pounces right on in going wherever her faithful master happens to be.  Of course this means scaring away most of the fish!

My passion is my love of photography, scrapbooking and card making.  Children and cats are the focus of the majority of my photos.  There is nothing sweeter than a child's smile or the look of a contented cat.  You will most often find me in my craft room in front of my computer where the magic of digital and software come together.  Thank goodness for Photoshop!  Unfortunately, I have so many favorite pictures of my grandsons that I am way behind in my scrapbooking duties.  Fortunately for me, I have a room devoted to nothing but my photography obsession!

The one thing my husband and I both have in common is our love of cats.  We have both been owned and loved by many cats in our lifetime.  We have gone to various cat shows over the years and my husband fell in love with the Maine Coons.  I also thought they were beautiful but have always wanted a Ragdoll and vowed that I would someday have one when one of our older cats passed on.  Sadly, we lost our precious 14 year old cat Homey to Renal Disease in November of 2005.  The following month, my husband presented me with our first Ragdoll, Beau Bailey, as my very special Christmas present.  It was love at first site...Bailey represented everything a Ragdoll was supposed to be.  He was so sweet, loving, laid back and a big cuddle bug.  We had our 1st annual Christmas get together with all our new Idaho friends and Bailey was the hit of the party!  My husband threatened to check all the woman's purses as they left the party to make sure there wasn't a furry stow away on board!  He managed to find his way under several coats that were already being worn by the guests!  Hmmm.....

Bailey was our inspiration in wanting to continue this tradition of breeding quality Ragdolls for their wonderful temperament, conformation and size and to allow other families to enjoy this amazing feline.  Thus, our lives were about to change when five new wonderful Ragdoll balls of fluff joined our family and Raggleberry was born.  The additional bonus to this was the opportunity to be able to show off our babies at the show halls and meet so many wonderful other breeders who have now become friends.

It is through the Grace of God that we have fulfilled our dreams and we have been extremely Blessed.
